The atmosphere of Christmas wafted out of the book beautifully.
I've always enjoyed stories about little animals, and definitely when I need to switch off, I love to read a completely simple children's book that not only gets me out of a reading slump but also delights me with cute illustrations. Here we have several stories about the inhabitants of the forest and how they experience the Christmas time. A newly moved-in badger finds friends, a little mouse is upset over the gobbled-up cookie dough that she took a liking to, then we have one long-eared rascal whom her bunny family is searching for. The stories are sweet and the pastel illustrations beautiful. I can recommend it for your little ones but also for anyone who, even in adulthood, enjoys reading children's books.
