The Descendant was a perfect action-packed, suspenseful and quite scary ride.
I had no idea what to expect but the story drew me in from the start.
The main character doesn't have great family relationships but as an expert and dealer in WWII weapons he's doing financially great.
He lives in seclusion, deep in the woods. The exact address is given through a middleman only to clients and he doesn't have many visitors.
He inherited this sizeable piece of land and he's happy there until the last of his customers, along with his sidekick, a young petty thief, tries to rob him. And then things go off rapidly.

A dark past awakens and a nice horror slaughter begins, with surprising moments and there was even one passage at the beginning that made me laugh quite a bit.
I assumed the ending would be exactly like that for one character, so thanks to something extra being added to it, it was a nice surprise.

I don't want to give anything away, just that it's a really nice horror story.
I got pretty chills and was rooting for it all the way to the finish.
