Thanks to the blurb, I was really hyped and looking forward to it. Honestly, the beginning was great, it pulled me in right away, a glimpse into a huge corporation, all those rules, the corporate culture, following all the procedures, all kinds of departments, and a nice main character who takes care of her disabled twin sister.
I enjoyed watching how the whole situation would develop, but from a fairly decent thriller, where the scenes with the villain really made my blood run cold, it descended into one of those Barrandov-style thrillers you'd put on on a Friday or Saturday night.
It started to be too unbelievable, it lost its momentum. The main character suddenly became a superwoman who's not afraid to break into the killer's apartment, from a principled cop who came across a bit like Columbo turns out to be a person who lets himself be lured by a giant corporation and all his principles dissolve, even though in the very end he turns down the offer. Well, for a one-time read, it was fine. It's gripping and the beginning has drive, but for me it's just average, the kind I won't remember what it was about in a few weeks.
