Another classics-lovers' round is coming to an end, this time about myths, legends, tales, and I'm coming to add my two cents as well.
The book From Ječmínek's Realm is less well-known but holds enormous value for me.
When I was little, my grandma bought it for me at Anděl in a small bookshop where books were wrapped in paper and I felt like I was in paradise there.
I enjoyed reading everything mysterious and this book was already a great treat for me back then.
Because even back then I was drawn to dark and spooky stories, I was most captivated by the tale Plague, which I wanted to read over and over again even though it really frightened me.
When I read it after so many years, the dread was gone but it's sad.
I remember when I was sick and often begged grandma to read me this very book.
And what kind of book is it? To me a treasure, with beautiful illustrations and stories so readable and captivating that not even time has dulled my enthusiasm.
If you have the chance, read it, it'll surely be in the library and is sometimes still available in second-hand bookshops.
