I love spooky stories, I love horror, and I haven't read nearly everything by Lovecraft, and as soon as I discovered this new release by Tanabe, who brings Lovecraft closer to us in a beautiful manga version, I immediately snatched it up at the bookstore.
I have his two previous books but haven't gotten to them yet, however I peeked into this one and couldn't put it down.
I enjoy manga and Tanabe managed to capture in the illustrations just the right gloomy, spooky atmosphere with creeping dread to such an extent that at times I really wasn't entirely comfortable, chills ran down my spine.
It was great and I'm looking forward to more Lovecraftian mangas. 🐙🌿Rating: 5*/5 5📚/2025🌿🐙
