Two stories in one that immediately drew me into the plot.
I really liked the story, it contained a lot of metaphors, references, was educational and touching.
Although there was a lot of violence and death, it fit the plot. It's a story that makes you think and you can't easily get it out of your head.
How enormous love and fear can destroy someone we love terribly and don't want to lose.
The story of the eternal princess, for whom her father wanted to conquer the whole world and give her eternal youth, is tragic but carries a strong message that time really cannot be controlled and that's why we should value every little moment and enjoy every second. Because being in the world forever is not a joy but a curse.
The second storyline shows us what would happen if people didn't want to deal with any problems and simply ran away from them recklessly instead of trying to figure out what to do next.
As for the characters, I really grew fond of the nanny's character, who was truly purely positive, and Lilian, when fairly early on I had an idea of who she really was. Otherwise, I understood the other characters, I felt very sorry for many of them.
The book moved me from the beginning and I could barely see the last chapter through my tears. I can warmly recommend it to everyone, both younger readers and adults.
