The first February read is done and I had a lucky hand picking the book.

Toxic Love entertained me a lot. The book is written at a brisker pace with shorter chapters, alternating between two perspectives.
One is a diary entry and the other is written from the daughter's perspective.

Family psychodramas interest me and the book pulled me right into the story.
The book offered me suspense, fairly shocking chapters, surprises, a probe into toxic relationships, family troubles, rawness.

The parts written from the daughter's perspective are very authentic.
It was imaginative, original but also very sad, depressing, bleak.
Topics like divorce, abandonment, loneliness, loss vs how many family members the whole situation affects, how children experience it..
Pessimism and sadness radiate directly from the text, despite that the book incredibly drew me in, I wanted to know how it all turns out.
I can recommend it.
