This book was a very pleasant surprise. A thriller that at one point reminded me of The Last Mrs. Parrish, but this was really tangled and I had no idea what was actually going on.
The author led me on nicely and I have to say I was thoroughly surprised many times over.
Toward the end, I finally sort of saw through it and had a hunch where it was heading, but for quite a long time I was completely off track.
It's an inventive read, full of suspense, surprises, and at times you don't know who's the cat and who's the mouse here.
In an instant the villain becomes a good guy, and again from a good guy who wouldn't hurt a fly into a proper villain. As a reader, you're simply not sure of anything here.
I enjoyed the whole social media angle, where you never know who's sitting behind the screen and whether those happy faces in the photos are really that carefree and happy, or whether it's just a pose for anyone following the person.
