The very beginning won me over immediately, because I felt completely like an accomplice, only gradually finding out what I was actually about to commit with my partners in crime.
We're in an apartment, waiting for someone important to us and also plotting a pretty nasty fate for this person.
Wow, the text conveys to you the anxiety, anticipation and dread of what you've actually done.
I didn't read the blurb and thanks to that I had no idea what was going to happen, so I didn't spoil anything for myself.
I really liked the portrayal of the characters, the plot, simple at the beginning, soon reveals itself in a way that you find out that what you thought might be different and you're way off the mark.
Wonderfully described setting, where you feel like you're walking through foggy streets with the main character, I enjoyed that we get a nice look into his head and I have to say I didn't feel sorry for him one bit.
However, the disintegration of his personality was incredibly fascinating, presented here absolutely brilliantly.
I warmly recommend the book and I'm immediately adding the recommendation not to read the blurb at all and let yourself be completely surprised.
I have to check out the film adaptation 😍
