I first encountered Swamp Thing in the newer TV series form and I was very curious about the comic.
At times dark to horror-like, bizarre, sometimes almost touching, what I enjoyed most was the journey through Hell accompanied by a verse-spouting half-demon.
The whole volume is about how Swamp Thing fights to save the dying Abigail. He destroys the demon that took over her husband, then travels to Hell to free her soul from there, and the conclusion is about their loving union.
Well done, beautiful artwork. I'm looking forward to the next volumes.
