Do you like horror stories with cursed dolls?
I usually don't get scared by such horror stories, although the second Annabelle, for example, wasn't bad at all.
Suzy didn't scare me even a little bit, but I really liked the passages from the past, which had a very unpleasant atmosphere, and the tragic story of the little girls was very sad. It managed to evoke really strong emotions.
The story reminded me of my favorite Tales of Terror. The storyline from the present didn't really affect me, unfortunately, although there were moments I enjoyed. Rather than a relaxing ghost story, it's a tragic tale of two sisters who had a very sad fate.
Unfortunately, I didn't connect with the characters from the present, nor did I worry about them in any way.
I believe the book will find readers who are more enthusiastic than I am, but a big round of applause for the visual aspect of the book — besides the beautiful cover, it's also very nicely illustrated inside.
