Give me a story about a witch set by an old lake where a mythical creature lives, mix in romance and a touch of suspense, and I'll happily read it slowly until at the end I'll be sad that the story is ending and I'd gladly stay just a little bit longer.

I really liked the book, this kind of thing works flawlessly for me. There's just the right amount of romance and overall the book was such a lovely experience for me that it's still resonating within me.
I enjoyed the characters, who were well portrayed. Right from the beginning, the book won me over with its beautiful descriptions of the landscape where it takes place.
From the lovely author herself, I learned that she lived near the lake that's mentioned in the book.
I enjoyed the character of the witch Seren the most of all, she's a strong character. She doesn't have it easy, people fear her but acknowledge the power she wields.
There's no shortage of intrigue, gossip, fear of the unknown, revenge, curses that last for centuries.
I love when mythical creatures appear in stories. Here it's Afanc, mother of the lake and protector of the lake witches, a mysterious creature that lives in the depths of an ancient primeval lake.
There are passages in the book that managed to both move me and send pleasant chills down my spine.
A story where past and present intertwine, told by two main characters.
For my part, I can warmly recommend it. It's not a demanding read and if you like the setting of lakes, Celts, witches, ancient curses, then The Silver Witch is just for you and I believe you'll enjoy it as much as I did❤️
