A detective novel from England, the first installment of a new series featuring lead investigator Helen Lavery.
It was a nice light read. Anna finds a murdered person she doesn't know in her apartment and suddenly becomes a suspect, and through this situation she unravels various pieces of information about herself and her family.
The story was nicely tangled, the characters were fine, but it will be one of those books that won't stay in my memory for very long.
However, I can't say I didn't enjoy it. The story of Anna and her loved ones interested me, I liked how tangled it is and how the author gradually doles out all the information until you say wow, oh so that's how it all is.
The author also lets us peek into the life of Helen, who has two sons and a mother who helps her a lot after the tragic death of her husband.
I'll gladly read the next installment too.
