"What fate has taken, it won't return,
even though our hearts may bleed..."
The author herself brought me the book, I gladly recall that lovely meeting and I also had the honor of meeting the main heroine of the book, Pavlínka's mother. After reading it, it took me a while to emotionally calm down, because it is a very strong and sensitive story.
The author has a great gift for storytelling, Rododendron is her debut and it is truly excellently written and captivating.
I couldn't put the book down, I needed to know how the story would end.
When I started reading, it was clear to me that I would cry, and so it was several times throughout the book.
It's a story from life, a story about love, injustice, envy, hardships, obstacles, sadness but also about a strong will to live, about family and support even from those we wouldn't expect it from.
A story that will resonate within you for a long time. Is there a worse situation than separating a mother and her child? Many years passed before they were finally reunited and yet only for a short time.
I would have wished those two so much more time, which they were not given.
A story written by life itself, told in such a way that you go through the whole range of emotions, where pain, sadness but also joy will not be missing.
I am very glad I had the opportunity to read this book. As a memento, I also have a beautiful dedication❤️ The book contains beautiful illustrations and I also greatly praise the overall design with a very nice cover.
I warmly recommend ❤️ and I can't wait for the author's next books 👏
