POSLEDNÍ DNY JACKA SPARKSE

POSLEDNÍ DNY JACKA SPARKSE

Now I have something here for those who like to be scared. I've wanted to read this book ever since it came out, which is about eight years now. It waited for me that long and finally I got to it.
Well, this was a really unconventional ride, I had a hell of a good time. It's something like a book version of found footage. We have here narration from multiple perspectives and the main character shows us quite a peculiar view of things, so we soon find out that we just can't believe everything he says.
You won't take a liking to Jack, at least not for a good portion of the book, you won't worry about him for quite a long time despite what's happening to him.
He's brilliantly written as a great—pardon me—pain in the a*s character, he infuriated me from the very beginning in an absolutely genius way. I hated him but I kept hoping his conscience would stir.
I can't think of anything to compare this book to, I'm sorry that people didn't take to it that much, because the rating isn't particularly stellar but for me it's great.
When you mock the darkness, it'll find you in the end anyway, and our main hero learns this in full measure.
Give the book a chance, I believe I won't be the only one who was thrilled.
