Under the Whispering Door will be one of the books I will remember for a long, long time, because it got under my skin. I won't even count how many times I had tears in my eyes while reading.
An incredible book in the best sense of the word, capturing a page of life and death. I totally love all the characters - Mei, Hugo, Apollo, Nelson, and Wallace, who went through a huge change.
The theme of death is presented so beautifully here and
even in death, hope can be found.
I rationed the book because in the past few months four of our relatives have passed away, so this topic was very sensitive for me.
It's very nicely written, with lots of sentences to ponder, plenty of philosophical questions, but it also points out that we should rejoice in the little things and live life to the fullest.
The book is not only about death and passing away, but mainly also about friendship, help, empathy, hope, and love. Go read it, it's great❤️
