The Cape is dark, brutal, and leaves a slightly haunting impression even after you finish reading. By that I mean it was great but it won't be for everyone. I didn't look anything up about the story and hadn't read the short story, so I had no idea what was waiting for them.
At first I felt sorry for the main character but that changed pretty quickly.
In this beautiful Deluxe edition I got the explanation of where the supernatural power came from and how it was transferred onto the cape. As well as how the cape was used by the main hero, who is also the villain.
I was also pleased that an original short story written by Hill is included.
I have to admit that I wasn't entirely comfortable during some scenes, even though it was clear where it was heading.
The artwork is great.
I can warmly recommend this comic ❤️
