PÍSNĚ POULIČNÍHO METAŘE

PÍSNĚ POULIČNÍHO METAŘE

Three short stories that kept me company for a long time. Not that I didn't enjoy them, quite the opposite, the book has a great format for traveling, so I read it on my way to work and rationed the reading.
Basically, none of them spare blood and brutality.

In the first one we have an escaped killer, who is accompanied by his equally deranged partner. On his journey to freedom, he murders like on an assembly line. But let's say those two aren't the only deranged ones the reader will encounter in this story. A certain old man who appears in this story exceeded all expectations.
The author doesn't spare the characters one bit.
In this story I encountered perhaps the most bizarre death of one of the characters - @zanicenyknihkupec right Olda😄

In the second story, there's an interesting topic of robbery/home invasion. A pair of thieves mix up the house they planned to break into, and the owner of the house has more than one unpleasant surprise for them. I enjoyed the gradual revealing of the situation.

And the third story, full of characters. It felt almost like a short action film to me.
A group of people divided into teams and locked in a department store. Cameras are everywhere and a filmed survival is starting here, where the only thing the characters can do to survive is kill everyone else. But there's a catch in the choice of weapons, because they can only choose those available in the department they're in.

The stories are short, raw, brisk, full of action, violence and blood.
