I love books with depth and this one has it. My imagination has been huge since I was little, so I really enjoyed imagining the individual places that are described in the book and I would so much love to have a kushik, because it's totally the cuuuuuuuutest little animal.
The story made me cry five times. It's so amazing when a book can hit you right in the heart and this one can. I believe it will touch you too, if you let it.
I haven't read anything like this so far and I can't even compare it to anything, it's a mix of fantasy, detective story, story of ordinary people who don't have it easy and are living their lives during the time when the pandemic broke out.
It's the story of a writer but also a dad, who tries to come to terms with his autistic son. There is a lot of hopelessness, misunderstanding, fumbling, searching, seeking, understanding, awareness and most of all love. Love quietly winds through the entire story. The love of a parent for a child, with whom they are distant but at the same time so close, just try to listen. There were so many moments that really deeply touched me.
I'll gladly recommend it to all of you, it's amazing.
