This month I had Medusas in my ears. Wow, the story immediately drew me in and absorbed me.
The situations from doctor's offices and examinations were so vivid and believable to me, I myself have experienced various, not always pleasant treatments in medical facilities and I felt very sorry for the main character in these moments.
The story of both women, their strange, even toxic relationship, which variously shifted from friendship, help and understanding almost into hatred and tests of what the other could endure.
It's not just a story about friendship, but also about pain and disappointment, trust and life with a chronic illness that constantly limits and changes a person, and also a story about how your closest surroundings react to it.
For me, the book was full of perfectly described emotions that touched me.
It's not an easy read, but that's why it has all the more power and meaning.
I didn't mind that some events remained unresolved, unexplained, but in my opinion, what was important was said.
I will definitely read or listen to the author's Augusts, I'm very curious about them.
