A beautiful dark fairy tale about fairies and forbidden love between mortals and fairies. The lower rating didn't put me off, from the moment I saw it was released and was charmed by its cover, I really hoped that when I found my way to it I would like it. How did it turn out? Well, I can enthusiastically say it struck a chord with me, it's a beautiful story, at times almost horror-like, autumnal, melancholic but full of romance and suspense.
A book full of fairies, who are fascinating but also deadly. A story about a human girl who, thanks to her painting talent, kind of loses her head and falls for the one who should never have been meant for her.
It was wonderful, like cocoa, woolen socks and a fluffy blanket and colorful leaves 🍂 that the wind blows across the fields and in the distance you can hear the first caw.
Just don't think I didn't find any small flaws, but somehow I didn't want to look for them and when at one moment it slightly lost its breath, it immediately picked up again. And so I'll wave it off, because this was exactly the story I wanted.
Well yeah, a few tears at the end weren't out of the question and wow, here was one of the most beautiful declarations I've ever read in a book.
…"I love you with all my heart. I love you forever. I love you so deeply that it scares me. I'm afraid I couldn't live without you. I could see your face every morning upon waking for ten thousand years and still look forward to the next one as if it were the first"
