I haven't read the original Baltimore comic, but I was pleasantly surprised that it didn't matter at all. I got into the story quite quickly.
I love stories where witches and other beings, demons, etc. play a major role, so I got my money's worth here.

The comic doesn't lack originality. The story was captivating for me and I was curious how it would all turn out.

As for the artwork, it's again great, elaborate and dynamic.
And a wonderful plus for me, part of the story takes place in my beloved Český Krumlov.
