A short story collection by Czech and Slovak authors, I couldn't pass this one up. The last book of 2024 is an anthology published by my beloved @goldendogbooks
I really enjoyed the reading, the stories are varied, thrilling, scary, with the main theme of death.
As is usually the case with short stories, not every one of them sticks in my memory, but I'll gladly remember Surová, because I really love folk horror and this story turned out incredibly well. The atmosphere was so thick you could cut it with a knife and I just waited to see how things would end for the writer in the strange village.

@lukas_polak_autor pleased me greatly with his story Šumění, during which I was decently scared
Samorost by #petrbocek where I waited to see how it would go sideways, and it was wonderfully done
Martin's Vždyť to jsou jen děti immediately reminded me of all those horrors with creepy children, but here the plot is different, these aren't any little child mutants or possessed brats, it's great and properly unpleasantly scary and believable @martinstefko
I definitely recommend it gladly, the anthology turned out very well and every reader will find something for themselves.
