After finishing it, all I could think was "damn, what the hell was that🤷 decent bizarreness"
Dark, twisted, brutal, gripping, utterly unusual, imaginative, cutely morbid, sinister.
A comic that won't take up much of your time but resonates in your head long after you finish it.
The cute little people are a showcase of the worst human qualities - cruelty, amorality, self-centeredness are not foreign to them. A complete absence of understanding what is good and what is evil. A story that carries a heap of violence and depression.
The feelings after finishing it are not pleasant at all. The seemingly cute characters still send shivers down my spine.
It's not for the faint of heart and most importantly IT'S NOT READING FOR CHILDREN, they shouldn't get their hands on it.
Beautiful Darkness shocked me in the truest sense of the word. It's something so different and weird, I have nothing to compare it to so far (in a few scenes I was reminded of Happy Tree Friends)
And the question of whether I liked it is a hard one. Can I like something like that? Let's say my more twisted self was fascinated, I knew nothing nice would be there but I couldn't put it down until I reached the end.
The comic has truly well-done drawings and the story is in many ways instructive.
Well, and a recommendation, those who aren't afraid, go for it, it's quite an experience. Those more sensitive should be careful, nothing nice awaits you, except for the divine artwork, which I'm really thrilled about. For animal lovers, also beware, the comic contains quite brutal scenes.
And a small piece of advice at the end, don't try to grow fond of anyone in there, just to be safe, because you never know what might happen 😃
