I had read both enthusiastic and disappointed reviews about this title, so how did it turn out for me?
The book is often criticized for being rushed, some parts aren't elaborated on, and it feels a bit like it was hastily put together. The romantic line is strange and various explanations are missing.
Actually yes, I can agree with that.. BUT I enjoyed it, and how!
It's a quick read, I had it finished in no time, wonderfully suspenseful, the story throws you right into the action where you feel something is not right.
The villains weren't really scary to me, but it didn't matter at all.
Once I figured out how things stood, I rooted for the main heroine until the very end.
This book is a mega page turner, I didn't want to put it down and I was satisfied with the ending too.
Even though I could agree with everything the book is, justly, criticized for, the heck with it.
I was as tense as a string, the book is in its own way very original and if you don't think too much about the details, you'll like it just as much as I did.
If something else from the author comes out, I want to read it.
