JINÁ TŘÍDA

JINÁ TŘÍDA

The author is well known for Chocolat, which I haven't read but I've seen the film several times.
So I had no idea what to expect from Different Class.
The blurb caught my attention and it was immediately clear to me that I would want to read it.
The book is longer, has a slow pace but its narrative is captivating and I got drawn in.
The story is about a boys' school, one older teacher and pupils who aren't always entirely problem-free. The odd bad apple can be found even among the teachers.
Originally I thought it would be a sort of cat and mouse game but the book gave me far more, I even shed a tear.
In places it's a bit drawn-out but the story requires its slower pace.
There was also a proper surprise and I got a satisfying explanation.
I won't reveal anything from the plot, just so you can be nicely surprised, and I definitely recommend it, give Different Class a chance.

🗨 Did you have a favourite teacher at school? One who paid attention to you and whom you could approach with any trouble?
