Although I like several of them, or practically all of them in the book, my absolute favorite is Bluebeard, who has always fascinated me greatly. I would even be thrilled if it could be made into a film.
Bluebeard is a French folk tale whose best-known surviving version was recorded by Charles Perrault in the collection Histoires ou Contes du temps passé, published in 1697. The title character may have been inspired by the 15th-century serial killer Gilles de Rais, or by the Breton king Conomor.
