The book One of Us could, for me, fall into the category of "crimes from the neighborhood". Rather than a psychothriller, it feels like a psychological drama, a relationship story.
It was really tangled up until the surprising finale, which surprised me quite a bit.
A group of women, friends, and each hides some secret. At a party, one of them is found, the most popular one. How did it happen? Is it an accident or was it something completely different? None of them can be fully trusted. We follow the story through the perspectives of individual female characters and gradually the whole puzzle comes together.
It's brisk, the characters will twist your mind a bit, and I think you won't guess how it all was and especially what else will happen.
