"True bravery is recognized by the fact that you are afraid, yet you still do something".
The book is very readable, it pulled me into the story from the first page.
Don't be fooled by the pink cover, because the content you get is definitely not pink.
A story that carries many important topics - rape, the fight against being overlooked and sexism, about prejudices, religion, stereotypes, mental illness, a story about friendship, trust, about realizing one's own worth, about overcoming fear.
This is a book that really evokes strong emotions.
I was a little bit worried that the male gender would be lumped together here, and I read with raised eyebrows the paragraphs where the male "animal nature" was discussed, about the animal instincts that slumber in all men and they cannot do anything about it, but I must also immediately add that fortunately there are positive male characters here, which calmed me down again and I could finish the book in peace and therefore I can recommend it, although there would certainly be a few opinions here that I do not entirely identify with.
At the end I would like to add that I liked the book beyond expectations and I cried like a turtle for the last fifty or so pages.
I am also glad that there is a warning on the back about the book containing sensitive topics.
