I returned again to the haunted houses series by Darcy and I was satisfied.
The book is teeming with ghosts and we also get some pleasant scares.
The book read itself, I managed it in one evening as a bedtime snack.
The characters were nice, the main heroine was likeable and I rooted for her. Her boyfriend was nice too, only the occasional overly sugary dialogues bothered me a bit, but they didn't surprise me, they're already part of Darcy.
I liked the story of the house, I can't deny the book a beautifully depicted spooky atmosphere and the stories of the trapped souls were well done. I have to say that, for example, such a ghost from the rocking chair was quite scary. That scene was great.
The exorcism was super and the overall denouement and the arch-villain was nicely sinister.
I would also like to add that the book has absolutely beautiful illustrations that perfectly complement the atmosphere❤️
