FAESKÉ POUTO

FAESKÉ POUTO

The Fae Bond caught my eye the moment I saw how gorgeous it looks, it has a beautifully designed cover and a stunning colored edge, and it's truly a beautiful piece that will stand out in any library.
I didn't really study the annotation in detail and let myself be surprised whether I would like it or not.
The story drew me in immediately, I enjoyed the main heroine, as well as her sister and the closest characters who gradually appeared around her. I didn't mind the romantic line, though I could have done without the bed scenes.
I figured out one character's identity pretty much as soon as the main heroine met him, and it was just confirmed at the end, but the ending surprised me, because given what we learn about his past behavior, I was expecting that he might have some more interesting moments in another installment, however his removal from the world was quite a surprising scene.
I enjoyed how the author created a new fantasy world and new fantasy creatures, of which there are plenty here, but what I enjoyed most were the obeah, strange animals resembling feline beasts that choose a bond with the fae, and it's quite similar to the bond with dragons. They communicate through thoughts and are so connected with their person that when the obeah is killed, the person dies too.
There are strong female heroines here, magic, wars, secrets, betrayal, love, a different original take on elves and fae, magical creatures and much more.
I'll be happy to read the next installment, I'm really looking forward to it.
