I finished House of Salt and Sorrow and I'm applauding, this was a banger.
From start to finish I enjoyed the story incredibly.
Gods straight out of Greek mythology. The romantic line, eh actually you could say a romantic triangle, didn't bother me one bit. A retelling that took us into thriller, horror, mystery, mixed with family drama, a curse and love.
Great villains, from whom I didn't feel too good, a sweet main heroine and a beautiful setting. I want to see this on the screen.
I enjoyed the descriptions, the dialogues, the mutual dynamic between the sisters.
The author surprised me greatly that she wasn't afraid and nicely mowed down a row of beloved characters. Oh boy, they fell one after another.
Once again I was X times nicely moved, because even though it might not seem so, I am a hopeless romantic soul.
