DEVĚT : PŘÍBĚH DJATLOVOVY EXPEDICE

The mystery and tragic story of Dyatlov and the others have always interested me.

From the beginning, I knew that all nine members of the expedition would die, but even so, I was tense about what conclusion the author would choose – what really happened in the mountains back then remains an unsolved mystery to this day.

I really enjoyed that in this case the story was told through the eyes of two participants - Zina and Rustem.
Don't expect a classic narrative of "what happened back then."
This story speaks through the characters themselves – and it contains everything: love, hatred, pain, fear… and real horror.

I must admit that before reading I was a bit afraid it might be unnecessarily complicated or overdone. But not at all!
The author narrates so vividly that I was completely immersed in the story. What I enjoyed most was watching how the expedition members communicated with each other – who got along with whom, who got on each other's nerves, who didn't trust whom. Their arguments, decisions about the next steps or about food, felt very authentic.
I was very pleased that the book also includes a summary of factual information and a list of sources the author drew from.

Overall, the book pleasantly surprised me and I liked it very much. I warmly recommend it ♥️
