Book One: Call of Destiny

I have to say I've never read epic fantasy in comic form before, and the comparison to Lord of the Rings and others definitely lured me in.
The first thing I can highlight is the artwork — I've never seen anything like it before. Although the author's artwork in the Harleen comic was also great, here the visuals reach a whole different level. At some moments it felt almost like the visuals of a computer game, and then came the details, which are truly a feast for the eyes.
Since this is the first volume, I was a bit thrown off until about halfway through. The epic introduction was great, but then honestly I had a bit of a mess in my head, and I was a little unsure whether this was really for me. But I waited, and I'm glad I did, because it turned around — everything suddenly clicked and I finally became immersed in the story. So for all readers who feel the same confusion at the beginning as I did, don't be afraid and keep reading, I promise you'll be satisfied.
At the end of the book there is also a glossary and a list of characters, which helped me a lot and made many things fall into place. And also two stories that I really enjoyed.
And what can you look forward to? Dragons, dragon lords, gods, sects, various interesting races, a cursed king, but also for example his daughter and her husband, who after death are transformed into weapons and guides that will accompany the wanderers.
So far two volumes are out, but apparently there should be quite a bunch of them, because this is going to be a really packed comic book fantasy epic, and I'm currently reading the second volume.
