Road of Bones is not an easy read at all, it's full of violence, despair and a struggle for survival. It's a great comic.
The author managed to perfectly convey the helplessness of the main character and his difficult fight for life.
I got an extremely terrifying, disturbing folk horror set in a believable environment.
The artwork is incredible, in some places it lets your imagination run wild to the point where you slowly start feeling sick, and elsewhere it doesn't spare you and shows everything in raw brutality.
After reading, you won't be much wiser than at the beginning, because the author himself states in the afterword that he wanted to ask questions, not give answers.
I warmly recommend it to all you tough readers, it was a bloody, wild, thrilling ride but it was worth it.
