I haven't read the original Road, but I saw it as a film and it was great.

The comic version is perfect with its well-executed artwork, brilliantly capturing the terrifying passages and the overall gloominess of the story.
The hopelessness, despair, and desperate effort to survive and save one's child were successfully transferred into the comic.
The comic is in a beautiful large-format edition which intensified the whole journey through the post-apocalyptic world.
I warmly recommend it to everyone, including those who haven't seen the film or read the book.
