BANDURY

BANDURY

I've wanted to read this book ever since Olda @zanicenyknihkupec showed it.
And how did I like the book?
🍀
A lot, really so much that it surprised me. I enjoyed reading the poetic narrative that took me for a while to the place where everything happens.
Whether it's a thriller, I honestly don't know, nor will I tell you if it's a drama, but it's definitely a mix of different genres that absolutely works.
There are quite a few characters and due to being busy I read the book longer than originally intended, so I sometimes had trouble immediately knowing who is who among the secondary characters.
🍀
An amazing storyline that I incredibly enjoyed was the legend about one of the original inhabitants who fell for one of the women, who was nicknamed Tangara from Bandury. Tangara is a red bird.
The characters develop, one of the main narrators leaves childhood behind. And the villain, I actually felt sorry for him.
The story is not at all cheerful, but it's honest, sad but also hopeful, it's about people, about the landscape and about life itself.
🍀
The book has a slow rhythm so that you also enjoy what is between the lines. Many times tears welled up in my eyes while reading and the book captivated me from the very beginning.
🍀

I can warmly recommend it, it's great.

It's a great pity that it's not seen that much.
