Anne is no stranger to me, as a child I really loved the TV series adaptation.
And what are my feelings about the book? Honestly, I'm completely enchanted. A little girl who didn't have it easy manages with her good-hearted nature and kindness to win many hearts and the affection of the people around her.
I love Anne's huge imagination, I love how she sees the world, how she can find joy in little things, and her unwavering optimism.
What I also really liked was the description of Avonlea and nature in general.
While reading I had to smile, although very often tears of emotion welled up in my eyes.
A beautiful story that I can recommend to everyone, both children and adults.
