The comic book Alice is great, fun but also pretty dark.
Adult Alice likes to escape through drugs to the world behind the mirror, but she has a pretty serious reason for it.
As a child, she survived such a great trauma that she can't cope with it, and so she prefers to get high on various drugs, which are brought to her by a fairly dangerous guy. But what happens when she does him in and thus Alice loses her source?
I enjoyed both the characters and the plot. Alice's adventure isn't cheerful at all, it's thrilling and dark. I always enjoy the topic of various hospitals and sanatoriums in books.
After adult Alice voluntarily admits herself to director Řácká's sanatorium for the mentally ill, she doesn't escape the attention of the local Doctor Choromysl, who would very much like to cure her. He tries to demonstrate lobotomy treatment on his patients, but the results aren't quite what he would imagine, however, suitable patients are running out and Alice is the ideal specimen for him.
A great variation on Alice, I'm looking forward to the next volume and can recommend it. The thrilling atmosphere is accompanied by beautiful artwork.
