The book is really a hefty tome but I read through it quite quickly. I was on edge wondering what would happen next and next.

The book really managed to draw me into the story so much that I didn't want to put it down. I grew fond of the characters.

The strange unusual atmosphere, the atypical setting and the horror elements were really enjoyable for me.

My experience of the book was even more intensified by the fact that I read it in winter, snow was falling outside the windows and a fairly strong wind was blowing, so during some chapters chills literally ran down my spine.

I warmly recommend it
